| Right not much of a birth story as it all happened so quickly.
Went for my midwife appointment on the 3rd March 2008. Had a sweep and I was told that my cervix was very favourable and I was 1-2 cm dialated. Went home and my contractions started at about midday. Phoned the hospital and they said when they get stronger to call them anyway they did come alot stronger. Simon came home from work at about 6pm and he called the hospital and I went straight in I was 4-5cm dialated and in established labour. Then at about 8.20pm my waters broke and started pushing about 5 mins later. Then at 8.52pm Elizabeth came into the world. I did need stitches. And the only pain relief I used was TENS and gas and air.
Here are some photo's: Photo's of Elizabeth | |

| It was a lovely birth, I can't believe I was so worried about it. Coz I had Kasia's birth in the back of my mind. I was in established labour for 14 hours with Kasia and that was a nightmare nobody was sympathetic to the SPD and I was in agony and they had to give me a second dose of the epidural. And then it ended with a forceps birth. And I lost alot of blood, mind you I lost more blood with Elizabeth. | |
