Constipation ..... eep

hey ladies

i know for some this may be a bit to much info but i need help !!

Following my operation i have had to take pain killers and anti inflamatories .... which as many know cause constipation .... so now im all clogged up .....

i now havent been for .... nearly 5 days .... and i am veryyyy concerned

i tried Senakot last night ... to no affect ..*yet* ....

the problem is ... obviously i need to go but i need a solution that will ... allow me enough time to get to the loo .... because ... it takes me a good .. 5-10mins to get to the loo because im on crutches and stairs cause a problem too .....

so ... any ideas a reallllllly welcome !!

what a predicament you are in!!!!

senakot usually work but need time.... the things that make me go r..... i know cos after i had a section with my 3rd child i was terrified of goin toilet....

black coffee
white chocolate
liqurish

god hun i hope you soon get sorted cos it REAL uncomfortable feeling i know....

awww hunny i hope you manage to go soon consiptation is so horrible i get it all the time, if i havent been for a good while i tend too eat loads of fruit like plums, grapes and bananas and stuff, try another senna tonight hopefully it will make you go, or maybe get some lactulose to soften the stools to help you go, good luck hun x

well mum went to the pharamacy to ask them what i should do and they have given me some lactulose ... never taken it before .... so im trying that too lol

i might have to start praying too lol !!

well i am pleased to say everything is back to normall ..... infact better than it was !!

i can officially say that Lactulose has done an amazing job .... and if i ever have problems again in the future i will be going for that straight away ......

and it is cheap as chips !! like £2.50 ish for a big 250 ml bottle .... and i only took one dose of 15 ml !!

hoooooray for lactulose !!
